The Unisure Group appoints Barry Sundelson as the new CEO

JOHANNESBURG, SOUTH AFRICA. The Unisure Group announced the appointment of their new CEO, Barry Sundelson CA(SA), this week.

Barry is a qualified Chartered Accountant who lives in Johannesburg, South Africa. He spent the last 19 years of his career working at Discovery Limited, initially as the Chief Operating Officer of Vitality Discovery Card, and more recently as the Head of Intermediary Business Development at Discovery Bank.

Under Barry’s leadership, Discovery Card became the biggest lifestyle credit card in South Africa, and Discovery’s Vitality programme became the biggest wellness program in the country, creating a significant risk and pricing advantage for the group’s insurance businesses.

He’s a visionary when it comes to building new businesses from the ground up, and brings with him a unique talent for understanding new environments and creating local and international growth opportunities.
